On Friday, April 13, The Office of Information Technology will be enabling the archive feature within Microsoft Exchange. The archive feature creates a copy of your inbox folder structure and moves any email that is one year old or older to this area. The archive appears as a separate folder in your inbox (see example image below for the location). Some things to note about the archive:
-It will be accessible both via webmail and Outlook.
-It will be done automatically.
-Voicemail will also be archived.
-Calendar items will not be archived.
If you have archived in the past locally and would like to access it through the Outlook Web App (OWA), you must manually move items to the new archive mailbox. The Search feature will provide results from both the Inbox and Archive folders. If you have questions, please contact the Help Desk at 2316 or 1-855-695-7648 (NYLSOIT).
